Hiking tips

Panoramawanderweg
The Panoramawanderweg (panoramic hiking trail) between Sternen – Spirstock leads over easy terrain. The fantastic panoramic view of the imposing mountains of the Kanton Schwyz, Uri and Glarus leaves everyday life behind.
Hiking time: about 1 ¼ hours.

7-Egg-Wanderung
Starting point of the 7-Egg-Wanderung (hike) is Einsiedeln. From here you can take the Postauto (public transportation) to the valley station of the cable car Weglosen - Seebli (or to Oberiberg chair lift Laucheren) and then take the chair lift to the Sternen. At the top of the summit, there is a magnificent mountain panorama with the view of the heart of central Switzerland. The hike continues to the St. Wendelins chapel, Windegg, Sternenegg, Ibergeregg pass to Holzegg. Here it is possible to continue the excursion on foot or by cable car to Brunni (bus stop to Einsiedeln).
Hiking time: about 4 hours.

Swiss jodeling: at the St. Wendelinskapelle hosts the traditional Jodlermesse (church service with jodeling) every year on 15th of August.

Murmeliweg (Marmot trail) - around the Laucherenstöckli
From the mountain station of Laucheren, the idyllic, narrow hiking trail leads over yellow-flowering arnica meadows, past gnarled spruce trees and, with a little luck, the marmots who live in this area will show up. Via Isentobel the trail leads in the direction of Laucherenkapelle, past the alpine hut Isentobel.
The wonderful views of the Central Swiss mountains and Lake Lucerne are unique! The way back to the valley station Laucheren takes you to a fire pit.
Hiking time: about 3 hours

Geological hiking trail around Mount Roggenstock
How did the Alps come about? Along the way you will geht more information about it. Route: Oberiberg - Tubenmoos - Roggenegg - Fuederegg - Steinboden - Tschalun.
Hiking time: about 2 hours.
